Do people use vinyl letters to make signs.
So i m going to share my little how to make vinyl decals guide with you.
Once cut out i removed the vinyl letters which left behind a stencil for me to paint in.
I will just need to apply transfer tape remove the backing and attach to the board.
I really wanted a beautiful sign of my own but realizing the whole hand lettering thing probably wasn t going to happen for me i did what any sensible blogger would do.
This would enable you to make 2 signs with 1 vinyl cut out.
I wrote down every single step on how to make the vinyl decals in great detail.
Here s what i used to make this project.
Before applying the transfer tape to the vinyl stick it to your clothes to make it less tacky and easier to lift when you go to add the vinyl to your wood sign.

Vinyl lettering includes lettering numbering or shapes that are individually cut out from a sheet of solid colored 2 mil vinyl and then pre spaced and placed onto pre masked transfer tape the number of transfer tape sheets used will depend on the size of your vinyl lettering and amount of colors used.
I created lettering on my computer and cut them out in my silhouette cameo.
Once it s all in place you can begin to remove the transfer tape being gentle to make sure the vinyl adheres to the wood.
The fabric had somewhat of a vinyl feel to it similar to oilcloth fabric if you re familiar with that so maybe it s the same thing as chalkboard vinyl.
It was so helpful that i couldn t keep my step by step directions to myself.
Then apply the transfer tape with vinyl letters attached to the wood according to your measurements.
Apply the vinyl stencil to your wood sign.
I cut out each letter and used the cricut transfer tape to apply each letter.
I just got my silhouette yesterday i look.
Line up your vinyl on your wood sign and use a scraper tool to apply the vinyl to the wood.

I couldn t fit them all on one mat so i had to make two separate sheets.
I used the cricut alphabet font for this project.
Continue applying the vinyl until you have finished your sign.
This time i got smart.
I ended up using chalkboard fabric which i didn t even know existed until then and it worked well.
When using the outline of the letters as a stencil as in the welcome sign is there a way that you could use the letters to make another sign instead of just weeding them out.
